High rigidity frames

Honda's 2017 safety focus is on its passengers. Honda uses advanced crash stroke technology in the body structure. The Civic Type R's frame reduces the amount of crash energy that is transferred to the cabin. It also improves vehicle dynamics. Honda developed the crash stroke technology in its Raymond, Ohio, design facility. It can also help reduce cabin intrusion during frontal crashes by directing 80mm from the rearward crash stroke.

High-density padding

The Civic is Honda's flagship model, and its new generation Type R was introduced in July. The Civic Type R is the most sporty Civic model yet. Its seating offers excellent support for high-performance driving. The Type R seat covers are made of red suede. They are very similar to those found in the VW GTI hatchback. They are upholstered in high-density padding and have large bolsters to provide optimum support for the driver's posterior.

Adaptive dampers

The Honda Civic Type R's new four-wheel Adaptive Damper System (also known as the "Adaptive Damper System") is a key component of its handling package. The new system features upgraded shock absorbers units with three-chamber configurations that allow for more damping force variability. The car's chassis changes the current flow through electromagnetic coils to activate the damper control. This system ensures smoother downshifts as well as a better ride quality.

Smart Entry system

The new Honda Civic Type R features a Smart Entry system that allows drivers to enter their vehicle without using a key. Simply place your key fob near the car's handle, then simply walk up and the Smart Entry will unlock the doors to start the engine. When you want to shut off the engine, all you have to do is press the LOCK button on the door handle. Or, you may turn on Walk Away Auto Lock in the car’s Settings menu.

What kind of car mechanic jobs exists?

Automotive repair shops

Customers will expect you to not only sell spare parts but also provide advice and guidance.

Dealership jobs

Most dealerships employ mechanics who can specialize in a particular area of the car. They might be able to only fix brakes or replace tires.

Some dealerships have the option to hire general mechanics who can take care of all aspects.

Some positions require that applicants complete training before they can be allowed to work. This means employers can choose which candidates are best suited for their role.

Some dealerships even recruit graduates straight from university. These graduates already know the basics of mechanical engineering and therefore have no problem learning about cars.

Independent garages

Independent garages aren't associated with any particular dealership. They are more focused on providing top-quality service.

Independent garages have the ability to afford higher wages, as they aren’t associated with any one company. These jobs generally pay better than those at dealerships.

It is possible to work long hours, but not have any control over the day.

Additionally, you should expect to earn lower wages if employed by a dealership.

You can switch jobs easily. You can switch jobs easily if you are interested in working at a dealership. Simply ask your employer if they would be open to hiring you as a mechanic.

To be a car mechanic, do you need a degree? Do I have to study part-time?

An associate degree should be obtained from a vocational school if you wish to work as an auto technician. After completing the program, he/she must take the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence certification exam. ASE stands as American Society of Mechanical Engineers. There are two parts to the ASE certification exam. The first section tests your mechanical skills, while the second tests your practical knowledge. To pass the test, you will need to visit an authorized testing location. These locations are available online or through your local automotive dealer.

After passing the exam, a candidate must take a state exam before being licensed as an automobile technician. This process varies depending on where the applicant lives. For example, some states require candidates to attend a training course, while others allow them to study independently. Some states permit technicians to work immediately after they are granted their license. Others require them to wait at least six consecutive months before they can be licensed.

To get started as an automotive technician, a person should apply to a local automotive dealership. Most employees who are hired start as apprentices. Apprenticeships last for three years. During this time, a student learns how to perform basic repairs, such as changing oil, adjusting brakes, replacing tires, cleaning spark plugs, inspecting engine compartments, and performing routine maintenance. Advanced repairs can be done by some students, including replacing shocks, installing air filters and repairing engines. Many schools offer classes during normal business hours. However, some schools offer evening classes if needed.

Once a student completes his/her apprenticeship, he/she becomes a journeyman. Journeymen can spend up to five years learning how major systems work, including transmissions, differentials. They also learn how to adjust steering gear and suspensions. Journeymen also learn to fix complicated problems, such as rebuilding engines or troubleshooting electric components. Because they have a good understanding of the job and what customers expect, many employers prefer to hire journeymen.

Once a candidate passes the required exams and is granted a license, they might consider opening their own shop. According to Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were almost 1.7 million available jobs in the automotive mechanic field in 2010. This figure is expected to rise 18 percent between 2009-2020. If a candidate decides to open his/her own shop, he/she should prepare to invest many thousands of dollars in equipment and supplies.

A person with only a high-school diploma could make around $21,000 annually. Associate's degrees earn approximately $24,000 per annum. Technicians with bachelor's degrees earned about $27,000 per year. Masters' degree holders earn around $32,000 per annum. Salaries are increasing so that a professional earning less than $30,000 could expect to make $40,000 in a few years.
